The ‘Byfleets’ are often confused as one location, but these areas have very distinct differences.

West Byfleet is still very much classed as an affluent commuter town, with the station being on the main line to London (Waterloo). Most of the business offering in the town is retail based, underpinned by a Waitrose supermarket surrounded by a good mix of independent and chains in the main shopping hubs, together with numerous restaurants and eating establishments. More recently Botannical Place retirement village has been completed updating the area with this new development, plus additional retail units. Whilst the area is dominated by retail, there are still a good number of offices in the locality, which make a great alternative to towns such as Woking and Weybridge for smaller businesses.

Byfleet is probably best known for Brooklands racetrack and all its associated history but is still a bustling village in its own right with many retailers. It is also home to many industrial occupiers in and round Wintersells Road Estate and Oyster Park, together with many units located off Avro Way including Byfleet Technical Centre. Local occupiers include Porsche, Bentley, Big Yellow Storage, Booker Wholesale and Topps Tiles.
