Hurst Warne, on behalf of their client Surrey Heath Borough Council, has successfully negotiated the acquisition of the freehold interest of an industrial estate investment at St George’s Industrial Estate, Camberley.
The estate sold by Aberdeen Asset Management was originally developed in the mid 1980’s and is fully let and income producing. The agreed sale price was £8.0m. St George’s Industrial Estate is situated in a well-established mixed use employment area of Camberley, attracting numerous national and local business occupiers including Brandon Hire, Virgin Media and City Electrical.
The estate comprises 23 trade counter and light industrial units extending to a gross internal area of approximately 4,473 sq m (48,147 sq ft). It occupies a site of 1.08 hectares (2.68 acres).
On top of Hurst Warne’s role as acquiring agent for SHBC they are also instructed on the day to day asset and property management as well as retained to provide advice on the future investment strategy for the estate moving forward.
