Hurst Warne, a leading regional commercial property practice, has announced the opening of its fifth agency office, located in central Guildford.
“The addition of a Guildford office will further consolidate our position as a regional practice and is the natural progression to our ever-increasing activity in the Guildford Borough” said Mark Leah MRICS | Director.
Guildford is an affluent Surrey commuter town which over the years has established itself as a major commercial centre within Surrey and the Home Counties. Guildford is seen by many occupiers (both office and industrial) as a cost-effective regional alternative to London whilst benefitting from excellent transport links (direct rail connections to central London in approx. 35 minutes) and a fantastic array of amenities. For these reasons, Guildford has managed to attract many major corporate occupiers over the long-term such as; Allianz, Ericsson, Colgate and EA Games to name but a few.
“Hurst Warne has concluded over a quarter of a million sq ft of property transactions within the Guildford borough in the last two years following various new agency / professional appointments. Coupled with the towns excellent economic prospects, we felt the time was right to create a permanent base as we continue to service these instructions and pursue further business opportunities” said Nick Atkinson MRICS | Director.
More recently, Guildford has seen the emergence and clustering of various high-tech innovative industries such as electronic gaming, satellite technology, healthcare and bioscience. Many of these industries have been identified by central government as ‘high priority growth areas for the UK’ bolstering fantastic long-term economic potential for the town.
Hurst Warne’s Guildford office opened for business on the 11th September and is centrally located at 1 Farnham Road (GU2 4RG).
“The move has been both encouraged and very well received by our existing client base which has only heightened our enthusiasm for this venture” said Mark Leah MRICS | Director.
“We look forward to continuing to work with our existing clients as well as forming new connections” said Mark Leah MRICS | Director.
